Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, order content, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, acceptance methods, packaging, marking and quality certificates, safe use and maintenance of steel ropes used for suspension bridge suspension cables. This standard is applicable to steel ropes used for suspension bridge suspension cables with a diameter range of 40 mm to 120 mm and a rope grade not exceeding 2160.
