Scope

This document specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, storage and transportation, and selection and use of steel wire rope slings with knotted splicing.
This document applies to knotted splicing of six-strand round steel wire ropes with manual folding and manual insertion, as well as mechanical folding and insertion. The knotted splicing of other multi-strand steel wire ropes can also be implemented with reference to this document.
