Scope

This document describes the method for determining the potassium hydroxide (KOH) value of concentrated natural latex preserved entirely or partially with ammonia. This document is applicable to latex containing boric acid. This document is not applicable to latex preserved with potassium hydroxide. This document may not be applicable to natural latex from sources other than Brazilian rubber trees, nor to synthetic latex, compounded latex, vulcanized latex, and rubber water dispersions.
