Scope

This part of GB/T 4909 specifies the test equipment, sample preparation, measurement steps, test results, and evaluation for the tensile test of bare wires.
This part is applicable to the measurement of the tensile properties of various circular, rectangular, and shaped conductors, as well as stranded conductors.
The test method specified in this part is to subject a certain length of specimen to increasing tensile stress, usually until the specimen breaks, and to measure its breaking force and elongation rate.
