Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, marking, packaging, transportation and storage, and user manuals for holmium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) laser therapy machines.
This standard applies to laser therapy machines (hereinafter referred to as "therapy machines") that use holmium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) as the working medium and emit laser light with a wavelength near 2.1 μm.
The therapy machines can be used for cutting, vaporizing, coagulating human tissues, and removing stones from the body, among other applications.
