Scope
1.1 This method specifies the determination of the impact of mold growth on the performance of synthetic polymeric materials by mold testing. The prepared objects can be pipes, rods, sheets, and film materials. The changes in their optical, mechanical, and electrical properties after mold growth are measured using the current ASTM test methods. 1.2 The values expressed in the International System of Units (SI) are the standard. 1.3 This section does not address safety issues related to its use. It is the responsibility of the users of this section to consider safety and health issues and determine the scope of application of regulatory restrictions before use.
