Scope
This standard provides general guidelines for the application of sensory analysis, and describes various testing methods in food sensory analysis, as well as the technical methods needed for statistical analysis of results.
The testing methods in this standard are only applicable to objective sensory analysis. Whether a particular testing method can be used for preference testing is already specified in the standard.
