Scope
This standard specifies the relevant safety requirements for the design and operation of hydraulic cutting machines and punching machines (hereinafter referred to as "machines").
This standard applies to hydraulic cutting machines and punching machines used in the manufacture of footwear, leather, artificial leather, and other flexible material products.
This standard does not apply to mechanical cutting machines, metal cold-working presses (including punch presses), punching machines, riveting machines, trimming machines, folding machines, bending machines, paper cutting machines, and equipment similar to scissors. It also does not apply to ironing machines and leather splitting machines used in the leather industry.
