Scope
This part of GB/T 5095 specifies two test methods for evaluating the performance of connectors by measuring the reflection in the time domain in the transmission line. In these methods, the tested connector is regarded as a jump point with controlled characteristic impedance in the transmission line.
Test method A uses precision coaxial cables and semi-rigid coaxial cables to connect the tested connector and the test equipment. This test method is suitable for connectors or cable assemblies of various shapes.
Test method B uses precision test boards, precision coaxial cables, and semi-rigid coaxial cables to connect the tested connector and the test equipment. This test method is suitable for printed circuit board connectors.
