Scope

This standard specifies the types and scope of energy measurement for energy-consuming units in the petroleum and petrochemical industry, as well as the principles and basic requirements for the equipping of energy measuring instruments. This standard applies to production enterprises in the petroleum and petrochemical industry, including exploration and development, pipeline transportation, and refining and chemical processing. This standard does not apply to units in the petroleum and petrochemical industry engaged in capital construction, equipment manufacturing, communications, transportation, scientific research institutions, power supply (direct current and AC voltages above 6 kV), and finished oil sales.
