Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, and usage information for arm-type mixers (hereinafter referred to as "machines"), defines relevant terms and definitions, describes testing methods and measures for verification, outlines potential hazards in different areas, and provides corresponding countermeasures. This document applies to arm-type mixers used for stirring, beating, and mixing food such as mixtures or emulsions directly in cooking pots. Note: Examples of mixtures or emulsions include mayonnaise, sauces, soups, purees, and various ingredients. Arm-type mixers are primarily used in the catering industry, such as restaurants, hotels, and food stores. This document applies to the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of machines, including their operation under intended use conditions and reasonably foreseeable misuse, as well as the cleaning process and blade replacement procedures. This document does not apply to: -- household appliances; -- portable handheld mixers. This document does not address vibration hazards. This document does not include requirements related to uncontrollable microbial contamination from the machine.
