GB/T 2099.10-2026 Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes—Part 10:Particular requirements for plugs and socket-outlets applicable to Hong Kong special administrative region

Scope

This document specifies the classification, main technical parameters, technical requirements, electrical protection requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of plugs and sockets applicable to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and describes the corresponding test methods. This document applies to plugs and sockets (hereinafter referred to as "mobile electrical accessories") used in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for household and similar purposes, which have electrical protection functions and are intended for long-term use. Note 1: The electrical protection functions in this document include, but are not limited to: —— Overcurrent protection; —— Grounding fault (residual current) protection; —— Arc fault protection. Note 2: Examples of mobile electrical accessories in this document include: converters (see Figure 1), extension cord sockets. This document includes requirements for mobile electrical accessories with additional functions, but does not include requirements for the additional functions themselves. Note 3: Examples of additional functions include: Wi-Fi, USB charging, electronic power devices, dimmers, timers, protective devices, infrared switches, etc.
