Scope

This standard specifies the noise limit values and grade requirements for inertial rolling noise of automobile tires, as well as the test methods.
This standard applies to new passenger car radial tires, new miniature and light-duty vehicle radial tires, and new heavy-duty vehicle radial tires. However, it does not include: tires with a nominal rim diameter ≤10 inches and tires with a nominal rim diameter ≥25 inches, T-type spare tires for temporary use only, ST metric tires for highway trailers, high-passability radial tires for light-duty vehicles, heavy-duty vehicle tires with a speed capacity of 80 km/h (excluding) or less, racing tires, studded tires, and specialized off-road tires.
