Scope

This standard specifies the gas chromatography determination method for citral, cinnamyl alcohol, fennal alcohol, cinnamaldehyde, and coumarin in cosmetics. This standard is applicable to the determination of citral, cinnamyl alcohol, fennal alcohol, cinnamaldehyde, and coumarin in cosmetics. The detection limit of this standard is: citral 3 mg/kg, cinnamyl alcohol 2.5 mg/kg, fennal alcohol 2 mg/kg, cinnamaldehyde 2 mg/kg, and coumarin 3 mg/kg; the quantification limit is: citral 10 mg/kg, cinnamyl alcohol 7.5 mg/kg, fennal alcohol 7 mg/kg, cinnamaldehyde 7 mg/kg, and coumarin 10 mg/kg.
