Scope

This standard specifies a high-performance liquid chromatography method for the determination of 21 sulfanilamides in cosmetics. This standard is applicable to the determination of 21 sulfanilamides in cosmetics. The detection and quantification limits of this standard are as follows: The detection limit of sulfanilamide, sulfanilic acid, sulfanilamide acetate, sulfanilamide dimethylisoxazole, sulfanilamide pyrimidine, sulfanilamide thiazole, sulfanilamide methylpyrimidine, sulfanilamide dimethyloxazole, sulfanilamide dimethylpyrimidine, sulfanilamide intermediary methoxypyrimidine, sulfanilamide quinoxaline, sulfanilamide nitrobenzene are 0.2 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 0.6 mg/kg; the detection limit of sulfanilamide methylthiazole, sulfanilamide methoxydiazine, succinyl sulfanilamide thiazole, sulfanilamide chlorpyridine, sulfanilamide methylisoxazole, sulfanilamide intermediary methoxypyrimidine, sulfanilamide o-methoxypyrimidine, sulfanilamide dimethylisoxazole is 0.4 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 1.2 mg/kg.
