Scope

This part of GB/T 223 specifies the determination of tungsten content by the Xylosine gravimetric method and the chlorinated tetraphenylarsonium thiocyanate-methylene chloride extraction spectrophotometry method. The Xylosine gravimetric method in this part is applicable to the determination of tungsten content in alloy steel, high-temperature alloys, and precision alloys with a mass fraction of 1.00% to 22.00%. The chlorinated tetraphenylarsonium thiocyanate-methylene chloride extraction spectrophotometry method in this part is applicable to the determination of tungsten content in carbon steel, alloy steel, and high-temperature alloys with a mass fraction of 0.050% to 1.50%.
