Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, basic requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for self-acting flow control valves used in heating and air conditioning systems.
This standard applies to central heating and central air conditioning circulating water (or glycol solution) systems. It refers to self-acting flow control valves (hereinafter referred to as control valves) that do not require external power drive and can rely on their own mechanical structure to maintain stable flow by utilizing system pressure difference.
