Scope

This part of GB/T 25758 specifies a method for verifying the focus size of industrial X-ray systems with a maximum tube voltage of 500 kV using radiographic films with clear edges.
The image quality and resolution of X-ray images largely depend on the characteristics of the focus. The imaging quality of the focus is based on the two-dimensional intensity distribution of the target plane.
The edge method is particularly effective for verifying the focus under on-site conditions, in order to detect changes in the focus. This method cannot be used for absolute measurement of the focus size. The method for absolute measurement of the focus size is described in Appendix A.
