Scope

This part of GB 30439 specifies the safety requirements for temperature transmitters (hereinafter referred to as transmitters) used in industrial processes, including protection against electric shocks and burns, mechanical hazards, the prevention of flames spreading from the transmitter to the outside, and protection against the effects of excessive temperatures.
This part does not include the functions, performance, or other characteristics of equipment unrelated to safety, the effectiveness of transport packaging, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements, functional safety, protective measures against explosive environments, and maintenance (repair) and the protection of maintenance (repair) personnel.
This part applies to transmitters used in industrial process measurement and control.
