Scope
This part of GB 30439 specifies the safety requirements for industrial process control valves against electric shock, mechanical hazards, the spread of flames from the equipment to the outside, excessive temperatures, the effects of fluids and fluid pressure, and explosions and internal explosions.
This part does not include the reliable function, performance, or other characteristics of control valves that are not related to safety, the effectiveness of transport packaging, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements, protective measures against explosive environments, installation, commissioning, maintenance (repair), or the reliable function, performance, or other characteristics of control valves that are not related to safety.
This part applies to control valves consisting of electric actuators or pneumatic actuators and valves, as well as positioners or electrical converters configured according to the intended use.
