Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements for DC plugs, sockets, and connectors (hereinafter referred to as electrical accessories) used in ship shore power systems, including their marking, dimensions, protection against electric shock, structure, electrical performance, and mechanical properties. This document applies to electrical accessories with a rated working voltage not exceeding 1,500 V DC and a rated current not exceeding 1,000 A DC. These accessories are intended to be installed and used by trained personnel (as defined in GB/T 2900.73-2008, Definition 1950402) or skilled technicians (as defined in GB/T 2900.73-2008, Definition 1950401). Unless otherwise specified, this document applies to electrical accessories with an ambient temperature range of -25°C to +55°C and a normal operating environment classified as Level 3 pollution according to GB/T 16935.1-2003. These electrical accessories are intended to be connected only to copper or copper alloy cables. Sockets installed or fixed on electrical equipment as part of a shore power connection system are within the scope of this document. In special locations, such as areas prone to explosions, additional requirements may be necessary. Other types of electrical accessories for ship DC charging systems should refer to this document for implementation. Note 1: The electrical accessories in this document can serve as interfaces for charging and discharging of box-type power supplies. Note 2: This document provides technical requirements for DC plugs and sockets used in ship shore power systems; the technical requirements for connectors and input sockets used in ship shore power systems are specified in DL/T 2804-2024.
