Scope
This guidance technical document stipulates that the identification objects should provide identification and general information about the equipment. This guidance technical document applies to Identification Object Example 1, which should appear in all devices.
The first example should identify the entire device. It is used for electronic key matching and is used by applications that want to determine which nodes are on the network. Other examples are optional. They can be provided by the device to provide additional information about the device and its subsystems.
