Scope
This guidance technical document specifies the requirements for the network and transport layer of a node on a defined control network.
This guidance technical document applies to the network and transport layer of a defined control network corresponding to Layers 3 and 4 of the seven-layer ISO model in accordance with GB/T 9387. Figure 1 shows the position of the network and transport layer within the OSI model.
Note: Most of the terminology and models for the network and transport layer come from ISO/IEC 8802-4:1990 or GB/T 15629.3—1995. The data types used are described in Part 5: Data Management.
