Scope

This document specifies the radiation dose assessment (referred to as "dose assessment") guidelines to be used in the event of an actual or potential release of radioactive substances into the environment from nuclear power plants.
This document applies to the evaluation of off-site radiation doses caused by nuclear accidents at terrestrial fixed nuclear power plants. Other nuclear facilities should refer to and implement it accordingly.
