Scope

This standard specifies the dimensions, contact distribution, and testing requirements of a 15-pin electrical connector. The connector is used for electrical connections between tractors and their trailers, except for the braking system and the running gear, at a nominal voltage of 24 V. It also further stipulates the socket used to receive and store the plug when the connector is disconnected, as well as the conversion device between 7-pin and 15-pin connectors.
