Scope

This standard specifies the terms, definitions, symbols and abbreviations, classification and marking, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of steel wire mesh reinforced plastic (polyethylene) composite pipes and fittings (hereinafter referred to as pipes or fittings).
This standard applies to pipes and fittings used for urban water supply, urban gas supply, building water supply, fire water supply, and the transportation of special fluids (including suitable industrial wastewater, corrosive gas slurries, solid powders, etc.).
This standard stipulates that when using similar plastics other than polyethylene (PE), this standard may be referred to for implementation.
