Scope

This standard specifies the energy efficiency grades, energy efficiency limits, energy-saving evaluation values, test methods, and inspection rules for metal halide lamps. This standard applies to scandium-sodium series metal halide lamps with transparent glass bulbs (single-ended 50 W to 1,500 W, double-ended 70 W to 250 W), and ceramic metal halide lamps (20 W to 400 W). This standard does not apply to powder-coated bulbs or explosion-proof metal halide lamps.
