Scope
This standard specifies the Vickers and Knoop hardness tests for the cross-section of narrow welds in metal materials by laser and electron beam. The Vickers hardness test force range specified in this standard is typically 0.098 N to ≤98 N (HV 0.01 to ≤HV 10), and the Knoop hardness test force range is typically no more than 9.8 N (HK 1). This standard applies to hardness tests on weld samples with or without filler wire. This standard does not apply to hardness tests on samples with laser/arc composite wide welds. Hardness tests on non-narrow welds shall be conducted in accordance with GB/T 2654 and GB/T 27552.
