Scope
本文件规定了室温下金属材料试样（没有引入应力集中)轴向等幅力控制疲劳试验的条件。使用本文件时，试验的目的是提供疲劳信息，如在不同应力比、给定材料条件（如硬度和微观结构)下，施加应力与失效循环次数之间的关系。
本文件适用于圆形和矩形横截面试样的轴向力控制疲劳试验，产品构件和其他特殊形状试样的检测不包括在内。
注1: 由于缺口试样的形状和尺寸没有标准化，因此本文件不包含缺口试样的疲劳试验。但是，本文件中描述的疲劳试验过程可应用于缺口试样的疲劳试验。
注2: 本文件都使用工程应力，工程应力定义为在试验温度下轴向力与试样原始横截面积之比。
