Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of nylon 66 drawn filament for sewing thread.
This standard applies to nylon 66 drawn filament made from polyamide 66 through spinning and stretching, with a linear density range of 78 dtex to 1,170 dtex, a circular cross-section, and a single filament linear density of 3 dtex to 10 dtex, in either glossy or natural colors. Other types of nylon 66 filament can be used as reference for application.
