Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for polyester monofilament.
This standard applies to polyester monofilament with a linear density of 6.0 dtex to 700,000 dtex, corresponding to a circular cross-section with a diameter of 0.023 mm to 8.017 mm, and a non-circular cross-section. Other polyester monofilaments can be used as a reference.
Note: For the conversion formula between the linear density of polyester monofilament and the corresponding diameter, please refer to Appendix A.
