Scope

This standard specifies the general technical requirements and scope of supply for hydroelectric generators and their ancillary equipment, spare parts, special tools, factory and on-site testing, and trial operation requirements. This standard applies to three-phase 50 Hz salient-pole synchronous generators (hereinafter referred to as hydroelectric generators) directly connected to hydroelectric turbines with a rated capacity of 25 MVA or more. Export hydroelectric generators with a rated capacity of less than 25 MVA or a frequency of 60 Hz can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
