Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for specimens, specimen preparation, tensile testing, impact testing, hardness testing, macroscopic acid etching testing, result evaluation and re-testing, and test reports for cross-joint testing of building steel structures.
This standard applies to cross-joint testing of building steel structures using right-angle fillet welds or combination welds. The hardness testing and macroscopic acid etching testing of T-joints can be used as a reference.
