Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for the production of organic acids by fermentation, including the definition of the production process, the environmental conditions of the factory area, the buildings and facilities, the equipment, hygiene management, organizations and personnel, raw and auxiliary materials, production process management, packaging, finished product storage and transportation, quality management, product recalls, and traceability management.
This standard applies to the production of organic acids by fermentation in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries. The production of amino acids is not applicable to this standard.
