GB/T 24894-2010 Animal and vegetable fats and oils—Determination of the composition of fatty acids in the 2-position of the triglyceride molecules

Scope

This standard specifies the determination of the 2-position fatty acid (β or internal position) components in triglycerides in animal and plant oils.
Due to the activity of pancreatic lipase, this method is only applicable to oils with a melting point below 45°C.
This method is not suitable for oils containing the following components:
——Fatty acids containing twelve or fewer carbon atoms (such as: coconut oil, palm kernel oil, butter);
——Highly unsaturated fatty acids (with more than four double bonds) containing 20 or more carbon atoms (such as: fish oil and marine animal oils);
——Fatty acids containing oxidized radical groups.
