GB 12476.4-2010 Electrical apparatus for use in the presence of combustible dust—Part 4:Protection by intrinsic safety“iD”
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB 12476 specifies the design and test requirements for intrinsically safe electrical equipment used in potentially explosive environments where dust clouds or dust layers exist, as well as the associated equipment connected to intrinsically safe circuits in such environments.
This part supplements IEC 61241-0:2004), except for the exclusion clauses in Table 1.
The equipment used in the system will meet the requirements of GB 3836.18—2010 "Explosive Environments - Part 18: Intrinsically Safe Systems".
If the associated equipment adopts the explosion-proof type specified in IEC 61241-0:2004 or GB 3836.1—2000, the requirements for the corresponding explosion-proof type in IEC 61241-0:2004 or GB 3836.1—2000 and the requirements of the corresponding parts of IEC 61241-0:2004 or GB 3836 also apply to the associated equipment. The exclusion clauses in Table 1 mainly target the associated equipment used in non-explosive hazardous environments. In other cases, the associated equipment should be used in conjunction with the requirements of other explosion-proof types.
