Scope

This standard specifies the installation positions, dimensions, clearance spaces, and screw pipe connection requirements of the electrical and pneumatic brake connectors (hereinafter referred to as electrical and pneumatic connectors) between tractors and trailers. This standard applies to tractor-trailer combinations with pneumatic brake systems and 24 V electrical equipment, where the tractor-trailer connectors are mounted either at the rear or at the front and below the tractor, as well as to center-axle trailer combinations and articulated trailer combinations.
