GB/T 41120-2021 Non-destructive testing—Test method for non-ferromagnetic metallic component pulsed eddy current testing
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the method of using pulse eddy current technology for the detection of corrosion and cracks in non-ferromagnetic metal materials.
This document is applicable to the detection of austenitic stainless steel, aluminum, and aluminum alloy components with a coating thickness of no more than 200 mm, a thickness of 1 mm to 50 mm, and a radius of curvature of no less than 25 mm. For other non-ferromagnetic metal materials, the detection shall be carried out after verification and reference to this document.
This document is applicable to the detection of wall thickness discontinuities caused by large-area corrosion in pressure equipment components without removing the coating, and to the detection of small-volume discontinuities and cracks such as pitting and dimples in the deep layers of thin-walled load-bearing parts and around the connecting components.
This document does not specify acceptance criteria. The specific acceptance criteria shall be determined through consultation between all parties to the contract.
