Scope
This document specifies the classification and marking of ventilation silencers, general requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage.
This document is applicable to the production and inspection of various resistive and reactive silencers used in ventilation and air conditioning system projects, but it is not applicable to silencers such as silencing elbows, silencing static pressure boxes, and exhaust vent silencers.
