Scope
This standard mainly stipulates the verification methods for the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) in the design phase and sea trial phase, and provides guidance for verifying the EEDI value achieved by ships.
This standard applies to the "achieved EEDI values" of the 12 types of ocean-going vessels for international navigation listed in Table 1 of GB/T 30008-2013, the 3 types of ocean-going vessels for domestic navigation listed in Table 2, and the 6 types of inland waterway vessels listed in Table 3. It does not apply to ships of these types that have diesel-electric propulsion, turbine propulsion, or hybrid propulsion systems.
