Scope

This standard specifies the classification and grades, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and accompanying documents, as well as packaging, transportation, and storage of solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber (SSBR), referred to as "solution-polymerized butadiene rubber (SSBR)". This standard applies to SSBR 2557S and SSBR 2564S used in tires, and SSBR 2003 and SSBR 2000R used in non-tire applications, which are obtained by anionic polymerization using butadiene and styrene as polymerization monomers and alkyl lithium as an initiator.
