Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and labeling, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for pre-oriented colored nylon 6 filament. This standard applies to colored nylon 6 pre-oriented filament made from polyamide as raw material, with a nominal linear density range of 8 dtex to 530 dtex, a single filament linear density of 1.3 dtex to 5.5 dtex, a round cross-section, and produced using direct dyeing technology in glossy, semi-matte, and fully matte finishes.
