Scope
This part of GB/T 18798 specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of instant soluble tea.
This part applies to instant soluble tea (water-soluble solids) made from the buds, leaves, and tender stems of the tea tree (Camellia sinensis L.O. Kuntze) through water extraction, separation, concentration, and drying.
This part does not apply to instant soluble tea containing non-tea carbohydrates as bulking agents or fillers, instant soluble tea containing flavoring substances extracted from sources other than the tea tree, and instant soluble tea with reduced (low) caffeine content.
