Scope
This standard specifies the maximum residue limits of 433 pesticides, including 2,4-D, in food.
This standard applies to food products related to the limits.
The food categories and measurement sites (see Appendix A) are used to define the scope of application of the maximum residue limits of pesticides, and are only applicable to this standard. If the maximum residue limit of a pesticide applies to a certain food category, it applies to all foods in that food category, unless otherwise specified.
The list of pesticides exempt from the formulation of maximum residue limits in food (see Appendix B) is used to define the scope of products that do not require the formulation of maximum residue limits of pesticides in food.
