Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, test principles, test equipment, specimens, test procedures, result calculation, marking, and test reports for measuring the hardness and fracture toughness of ultra-thin glass using the Vickers indentation method with a loading force of 1.961 N to 49.03 N.
This standard is applicable to hardness testing of glass with a thickness of 0.1 mm to 1.1 mm, and fracture toughness testing of glass with a thickness of 0.3 mm to 1.1 mm.
