Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for precision testing of the hydraulic performance of centrifugal pumps, mixed-flow pumps, and axial flow pumps (hereinafter referred to as "pumps").
This standard applies to the research, development, acceptance, and testing of high-tech pumps with special requirements that require precision testing of their hydraulic performance.
This standard applies to full-scale pumps and model pumps tested on test benches or in the field.
This standard applies to pumps without pipeline accessories, as well as pump assemblies connected to all or part of the upstream and/or downstream pipeline accessories.
This standard does not apply to energy storage pumps.
