Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for polypropylene monofilaments.
This standard applies to polypropylene monofilaments with a linear density of 9.0 dtex to 7,111.0 dtex, corresponding to a single-filament equivalent diameter of 0.036 mm to 1.000 mm with a circular cross-section or a non-circular cross-section. Other polypropylene monofilaments can be used as a reference.
Note: For the conversion formula between the linear density of polypropylene monofilaments and the corresponding single-filament equivalent diameter, please refer to Appendix A.
