GB/T 1984-2014 High-voltage alternating-current circuit-breakers
GB/T 1984-2014 High-voltage alternating-current circuit-breakers
Basic Information
Scope
This standard applies to AC circuit breakers designed for installation indoors or outdoors and operating in systems with a frequency of 50 Hz and a voltage of 3,000 V and above.
This standard only applies to three-pole circuit breakers in three-phase systems and single-pole circuit breakers in single-phase systems. For two-pole circuit breakers used in single-phase systems and for use at frequencies below 50 Hz, the agreement between the manufacturer and the user should be followed.
This standard also applies to the operating mechanisms of circuit breakers and their auxiliary equipment. However, this standard does not cover circuit breakers that rely solely on manual operation of the closing mechanism, as it cannot specify the rated short-circuit closing current, and from a safety perspective, this method of relying solely on manual operation should not be promoted.
Circuit breakers with predefined inter-pole different phase characteristics are covered in GB/T 30846-2014; circuit breakers with single-pole automatic reclosing functions are included within the scope of this standard.
