Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of bridge erectors.
This standard applies to highway bridge erectors and railway bridge erectors with a rated lifting weight of not more than 2000 tons. This standard does not include flatcars used by bridge erectors operating on railway lines.
