Scope
This part of GB/T 30790 discusses the basic structural design principles that steel structures subject to anti-corrosion coating with protective coating systems should follow in order to avoid premature corrosion and aging of structures or coatings. It lists some appropriate and inappropriate design examples, briefly explains how to avoid problems with protective coating systems during construction, inspection, and maintenance, and also discusses design methods conducive to the handling and transportation of steel structures.
